  • Equipment Hire Policy

    Thank you for considering Little Lux Catering for your equipment hire needs. This Equipment Hire Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the rental of equipment from our company.     Equipment Availability and Reservation

    Availability: Equipment availability is subject to change based on demand and inventory levels. We recommend making reservations well in advance to secure the equipment you need for your event.

    Reservation: To reserve equipment, we recommend getting in contact with us at least 7 days before your event date. However, we understand that this is not always possible, therefore if you are looking for last minute hire, we will always try to accommodate and recommend you give us a call on 07797741132.

    We require a deposit or advance payment to confirm your reservation. You can however book all of our services and pay in full online, via the Store.

    Rental Period and Rates

    Rental Period: The rental period begins on the agreed-upon delivery date and ends on the scheduled return date. Additional charges may apply for overnight / multiple days hire.

    Rates: Rental rates are determined based on the type of equipment, duration of rental, and any additional services requested. Please inquire about specific rates for the equipment you wish to hire or visit the Store.

    Equipment Care and Responsibility

    Care and Handling: Clients are responsible for handling the equipment with care and following any instructions provided by Little Lux Catering. Equipment should be used only for its intended purpose and returned in the same condition as received.

    Damage and Loss: Clients are liable for any damage to or loss of equipment during the rental period. Charges for repairs or replacement will be billed accordingly, in line with this policy.

    Cleaning: Equipment must be returned clean and free of food debris, stains, or other contaminants. A cleaning fee may be assessed if the equipment is returned in unsatisfactory condition.

    Delivery

    Delivery Service: Little Lux Catering offers delivery free of charge!

    Cancellation and Changes

    In the event of a cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled rental date, a 50% charge of the scheduled hire cost will be applicable, with the remaining balance eligible for transfer to an alternative date. We kindly request that you notify us promptly if any adjustments to your reservation are necessary.

    Changes to Reservation: Changes to rental dates, quantities, or equipment selections may be accommodated subject to availability, prior to 72 hours notice as mentioned above.

    Catering Refund Eligibility

    Refunds for catering services provided by Little Lux Catering are subject to the following conditions:

    • Catering Cancellation Policy: Orders cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled event date will be eligible for a refund minus the cost of the goods already purchased for the event. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event will be subject to pay the amount in full.

    • Quality Concerns: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the food or service provided by Little Lux Catering, please notify us immediately during the event. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.

    Refund Process

    To request a refund, please contact us at hello@littleluxcatering.je with your order details and reason for the refund request. Our customer service team will review your request and may require additional information or documentation to process the refund.

    If your refund request is approved, we will process the refund within 7 days of the approval date. Refunds will be issued via the original method of payment whenever possible.

    Non-Refundable Items

    Certain items or circumstances may not be eligible for refunds, including:

    • Any Catering orders cancelled within 48 hours before the scheduled event date.

    • Any Equipment Hire cancelled within 72 Hours before the scheduled event date.

    • Any customised or personalised items, subject to if they have been made. Please note they are made approximately 2-3 weeks before the event date.

    • Expenses incurred by Little Lux Catering in preparing for your event, such as ingredient purchases or staffing costs.

    Late or Missing Refunds

    If you have not received your refund within the specified timeframe, please check your bank account or credit card statement. If the refund has not been credited, please contact us immediately at hello@littleluxcatering.je for assistance.

    Changes to Orders

    Changes to catering orders, including menu selections, guest counts, or event details, may be accommodated subject to availability and additional charges. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss any changes to your order.

    Cleaning and Sanitisation: Our staff follows strict cleaning and sanitisation protocols to ensure that equipment, surfaces, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned between uses to reduce the risk of allergen transfer.

    Staff Training: All employees receive comprehensive training on food allergens, including how to recognise common allergens, prevent cross-contamination, and respond to guest inquiries about allergen-free options.

    Client Communication: We encourage guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions to inform Little Lux Catering about their specific needs when placing their orders via this site using the Allergen Form at Checkout.
